What is Micro-Needling?

This revolutionary treatment utilizes micro-medical skin-needles to create thousands of epidermal micro-canals that stimulate the body's own natural resources to regenerate and repair itself naturally and safely.

The earliest form of cosmetic skin needling was performed using acupuncture needles. Embedded within Traditional Chinese Medicine is the philosophy to ensure practices and techniques are performed in a holistic and natural way, which leads to lower side effects, shorter recovery times and very importantly, happier clients. This led world-renowned acupuncturist, Anthony Kingston, to coin the term 'holistic micro-needling'.

As micro-needling is known to dramatically increase the absorption of products into the deeper layers of our skin, it is important that we know exactly what is being absorbed. Following a micro-needling treatment at Phoenix Facials, you will leave with a gentle post-treatment serum to help with tissue repair.

There will be a short period of down-time after your treatment including moderate erythema (pink/red skin), this is completely normal. The redness will take anywhere between 24-72 hours to completely go away and may feel like a mild sunburn. In most cases the pinkness in the skin usually resolves within 24-48 hours.

To further enhance the effects and to assist in the healing process, each micro-needling treatment is followed by a complimentary LED light therapy session.
